A major tourism event in Prachuap Khiri Khan will return later this year, with organisers confirming that the 16th Amazing Three Bays City Prachuap Khiri Khan Tourism Festival will take place from 24 April to 3 May 2026.
Provincial authorities met this week to finalise preparations for the annual festival, which aims to promote tourism, support the local economy, and highlight the cultural identities of the province’s eight districts.
The planning meeting was held on 13 January at the Bang Nang Ram Meeting Room in the old Provincial Hall, chaired by Sitthichai Sawatsan, Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Deputy governors, senior officials, and representatives from public and private sector organisations also attended.
Festival plans and proposed activities
Organisers reviewed the results of last year’s festival, which ran from 25 April to 4 May 2025 and attracted 190,691 visitors. The vast majority were Thai visitors, with 1,227 foreign visitors recorded. Total spending at festival stalls reached more than 4.1 million baht, according to figures presented at the meeting.
Building on that outcome, the committee discussed a wide range of proposed activities for the 2026 edition of the Amazing Three Bays City Prachuap Khiri Khan Tourism Festival. These include decorative lighting and illumination at Chong Krachok Mountain, the release of wish lanterns and a large-scale lantern installation, and an exhibition area featuring AI-themed displays.
Art exhibitions covering multiple disciplines, a “Next Move” showcase built around ten themes, and ten learning rooms focused on education were also proposed. Wellness-focused activities will feature prominently, with plans for eight initiatives linked to the province’s wellness economy and the presentation of a “Healthy Province” flag.

The programme is expected to include the signing of memorandums of understanding with schools and wellness tourism communities, with organisers targeting participation from 100 communities across the province. A large Red Cross charity fair, exhibition booths from all eight districts, Muay Thai competitions, and an OTOP product caravan are also part of the draft plan.
Other proposed highlights include a fine-dining cultural event on Saranwithi Bridge, a monkey banquet, and a tourist train activity linking key areas of the Three Bays City.
Venues and opening ceremony
The festival is scheduled to use several central locations, including the King Rama IX Commemorative Public Park in front of the Provincial Hall, the coastal road along Prachuap Bay, and Saranwithi Bridge.
Organisers said the opening day will follow a format similar to previous years, with a traditional cultural parade and a light, sound, and visual performance on the main stage. The show will present the distinctive identities and traditions of all eight districts in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Further details on the final programme and daily schedules are expected to be announced closer to the event dates.
