The diverse cultures, distinctive cuisine and art and music of Sri Sa Ket province will be showcased in a contemporary and captivating fashion during the “Sound Of Sisaket Festival”, which will kick off on Thursday and run until Sunday.

Held under the concept of “Proud Of Sisaket” by the Creative Economy Agency, this fourth edition aims to present the brilliance of Sri Sa Ket, linking creative work by building upon outstanding potential in music, film and art in order to transform the province from a “pass-through city” into an Asean regional hub of music and film.

The four-day event will run at five main areas around Wong Wien Mae Sri in Muang district of Sri Sa Ket — the wooden house opposite Santisuk Hotel; Santisuk Hotel; Ratchakan Rotfai 1 Road; the municipal fresh market; and the old Rama cinema.

Visitors will learn about identities, ethnic roots, multi-dimensional wisdom and culture, as well as the natural resources of Sri Sa Ket during the “Proud Of Sisaket Exhibition” and enjoy musical works by local indie artists and those from across the entire Isan region during the Sound Kug Kug show. Both events will take place on the 2nd floor of the municipal fresh market.

Also prepare to witness the Thailand World Music Championships 2025 which features 80 marching bands from nine countries, plus a special marching band performance with local indie artists, in front of Sisaket Railway Station on Dec 19.

Another highlight is a light and sound mapping show to be projected on the facade of Sisaket Rama building. It has two sets — “Beneath The Royal Grace” to honour HM Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother and “Sisaket Growing Proud City” which portrays the charm and vision of the city.

There will also be a city tour to explore ancient architecture and important landmarks in the city, a creative market, a series of creative workshops, a creative talk, “Sisaket Sound Goods” market and music jam space.
